Obituary: Jeannette A. (Michaud) Duchesne, Foster Parent For Many Years

Raised and educated in Salem.

Jeannette A. (Michaud) Duchesne, 73 of Lynn, died Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, with her family by her side. She was the devoted wife of the late Raymond N. Duchesne.

Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Lionel and Cecile (DeVoe) Michaud. A graduate of Salem High, Jeannette worked as a production worker for several manufacturing companies in the area. She also worked in healthcare prior to her retirement. She was a foster parent for many years. Jeannette loved animals and was an avid bingo player.

She is survived by two daughters, Debra Romeo and her husband Paul of Malden, Tina Burbine of Salem, two stepchildren, Joyce Robinson and Michael Erwin and foster son, Stanley Cohen. She also leaves 3 brothers, Ronald Michaud and his wife Jackie of Salem, Paul Michaud of New Hampshire, Jean “Mitch” Michaud of Peabody, two sisters, Lucienne “Lou” Flynn of Florida, Claire Michaud of Salem, 6 grandchildren, Melissa & Amy Jackson, Megan Beaudoin, Courtney Heron, Brittany Bosse and Paul Romeo, II as well as nine great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Pauline Francis.
