Obituary: Olive Ann (Townsend) Dupuis, Longtime Resident of Salem

Olive Ann (Townsend) Dupuis, 84, of Salem, beloved wife of the late Francis Dupuis died unexpectedly January 29th, 2015 at her home.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Ernest C. and Florence (Rowley) Townsend. She was raised and educated in Middleton and was a graduate of the former Holten High School in Danvers.

Mrs. Dupuis had been employed as a Secretary with G.T. E. Sylvania. After leaving G.T.E. Sylvania she was employed as an Executive Assistant of the South Essex Sewage District in Salem, until the time of her retirement.

Olive was a longtime resident of the City of Salem. She was a loving and caring wife, sister and aunt. She was a member and past President of the Peabody Emblem Club #2. She will be deeply missed.

Olive is survived by her siblings, William Townsend and his wife Jean of Lynn, Barbara Lee of Titusville, Florida and Robert Townsend and his wife Charlotte of Titusville, Florida and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews and extended family. She was also the sister of the late Ernest “Jimmy” Townsend, Florence Staples, Mildred Jamison, Ruthie Bouchard, Marion Carroll and Edward Townsend.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held in The O’Donnell Funeral Home 46 Washington Sq., (At Salem Common) Salem, Wednesday, Feb. 4th at 11:30 A.M.. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Oakdale Cemetery, Middleton. Visiting hours prior to the service from 9:30 to 11:30 A.M.
