Obituary: Patricia M. (Sullivan) DeOrio, Nurse at Salem Hospital For Many Years

Patricia M. (Sullivan) DeOrio, of Salem beloved wife of the late Carl A. DeOrio Sr., died Tuesday, May 12th, 2015 following a brief illness. She was surrounded by her family.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late James and Bertha (Clements) Sullivan. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of the former St. James School. She continued her education at Salem Hospital School of Nursing.

Mrs. DeOrio had been associated with Salem Hospital as a Nurse for many years. A dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother, Pat was devoted to her family. She dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren. Her motherly instincts and caring nature provided a loving home and atmosphere for all her family. She was very proud of all her families’ accomplishments and will be deeply missed by all.

Her family was paramount in her life and she will be remembered for her kind and nurturing nature and her commitment to her loving husband, children and grandchildren.

Pat is survived by her daughters, Judith Jensen and her husband Henry of Hamilton and Alicia M. DeOrio and her husband Bill Brady of Danvers, her sons, Carl DeOrio Jr and his wife Linda of Deering, N.H. and James P. DeOrio and his wife Donna of Salem.. She was also the mother of the late Peter Clement DeOrio. She was especially proud of her eleven grandchildren: Matthew, Scott, Jeffrey, Tricia, Courtney, Peter, Stephanie, Carl, Lindsay, Rachael and Meredith.
