Obituary: Rita Gerrish, Worked at the St. Joseph's Food Pantry For Years

Rita Gerrish, 90, of Salem, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015 in NSMC Salem Hospital.

Born in Salem, Rita was the daughter of the late Nathaniel and Alexina (Dionne) Gerrish. Following her retirement from her career in leatherworking, Rita worked for many years at the St. Joseph’s bingo and as a housekeeper and secretary at the St. Joseph’s Rectory. Rita also worked for years with the St. Joseph’s Food Pantry.

Rita is survived by her two sisters; Janet Terrell of Salem, and Shirley Gill of Peabody, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Charles Gerrish, Gus Gerrish, Julia Gerrish, and Mary Abcunas.
