Obituary: Roger O. Theriault, Worked at GTE Sylvania, Sylvan Street Plant in Danvers For Over 40 Years

World War II Veteran

Roger O. Theriault, 91, of Salem, passed away February 16, 2015 at the Soldiers’ Home. He was the beloved husband of the late Alice (Ouimette) Theriault whom he had shared 65 years of marriage.

Born in Salem where he lived all his life, Roger was the son of the late Joseph C. and Marie Louise (Dube) Theriault. He served his country honorably and was a World War Two U.S. Army Veteran. Roger and his loving wife Alice enjoyed traveling and going on cruises with friends and family. They often would go dancing at the former Klondike Club on Lafayette Street in Salem. He was a good friend to all who knew him and was loved by many.

Roger had been employed for over 40 years at the GTE Sylvania at its Sylvan Street plant in Danvers until the time of his retirement. He was a member of its Quarter Century Club.

Roger leaves a daughter, Debra Ciccolo and her husband John of Salem; a son, David Theriault and his wife Patty of Texas; two grandsons; Raymond Martineau and his wife Lindsay, and Mark Martineau and his wife Jess; a sister, Claire Mailett, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

There are no visiting hours. A Memorial Mass is planned for Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Ste. Anne’s Church, Jefferson Ave. Salem, at 11am. Relatives and friends are invited. A guestbook is available at www.BerubeFuneralHome.com.
