Obituary: Stella Urbanowicz, Well-Known Throughout the Salem Community
She was raised and educated in Poland and immigrated to the United States in May of 1949.

Stella Urbanowicz 93, of Salem, beloved wife of the late FredUrbanowicz, died peacefully Saturday, January 10th, 2015 at Masconomet Health Care Center in Topsfield surrounded by her family.
Born in Izdeliki, Poland, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Alzella Bobola. She was raised and educated in Poland and immigrated to the United States in May of 1949. She resided in Salem for many years.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Stella was devoted to her family. She was well known throughout the Salem community. She passionately loved to play her daily numbers at Steve’s Market in Salem. She made many friends throughout the course of her life and was always willing to help anyone in need. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Stella is survived by her daughters, Mary Lou Sorgini and her husband John of Amesbury and Theresa Boyd and her husband Paul of Salem, her step-son George Urbanowicz-Mear and his wife Carol of North Andover and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, her nieces and nephews including Mary Kozak & family and many extended family. She was the mother of the late Patricia Gatchell, Frederick, John and Richard Urbanowicz.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held in The O’Donnell Funeral Home 46 Washington Sq., (At Salem Common) Salem, Thursday, Jan. 15th at 11 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Wednesday, Jan. 14th from 4 to 7 P.M. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Stella’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, Ma 01701.
