'Our Time On Earth' Opens At Peabody Essex Museum For School Vacation Week

The interactive exhibit opens on Feb. 17 with several days of events specially designed for school vacation week set to follow.

SALEM, MA — The Peabody Essex Museum's latest exhibition "Our Time on Earth" — presented as part of the PEM's Climate + Environment Initiative — is set to open next week with a full weekend dedicated to celebrating the power of global creativity.

The exhibit opens on Feb. 17 with a series of programs designed for school vacation week on Feb. 19, 22 and 23.

The exhibit is making its U.S. debut and includes installations crafted by artists, designers, scientists, and changemakers from 12 countries designed to interest students and adults.

Visitors can approach a dinner table set for a fox, a wasp, and other animals, go on a virtual dive into the ocean surrounded by magnified plankton, and look through the layers of a giant Kapok tree to see how trees act as a living bridge between soil and sky.
