Overnight Work Will Close North Street In Salem
The work comes as MassDOT looks to make bridge repairs.
From MassDOT: The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) has announced that there will be temporary overnight traffic impacts on North Street (Route 114) in the area of Bridge Street (Route 107) in Salem beginning Sunday, March 24. These impacts will occur each evening between 7:30 p.m., and 5 a.m., and will include traffic shifts and reducing North Street to a single lane in each direction.
These temporary off-peak traffic impacts are necessary to allow crews and contractors to safely and effectively perform bridge repair operations.
Signs, traffic control devices, and law enforcement details will be used to guide drivers through the work zone. MassDOT encourages drivers to reduce speed and use caution while approaching and traveling through the work zone and to allow for extra time through this area. All work is weather dependent and is subject to change without notice.
