Peabody-Based Bridgewell Counseling Clinic Names New Director

PEABODY, MA — Bridgewell, a Peabody-based nonprofit social and human services organization serving northeastern Massachusetts, has appointed Townsend resident Enid Keefe as Clinic Director of Bridgewell Counseling Services in Lowell.

In the role, Keefe will lead clinical and administrative staff and ensure the provision of quality services to people served by the clinic, according to Bridgewell. The organization said Keefe is an English/Spanish bilingual speaker and brings both clinical and management experience to the position.

"As a veteran licensed mental health clinician and with experience caring for the populations we serve in Lowell, Enid is equipped with the operational and clinical skills that make an exceptional director," said Bridgewell President and CEO Christopher Tuttle. "Enid will enable us to better serve the Greater Lowell community by increasing accessibility, ease, and enhancing the experience of each client as they take control of their overall wellness/health."

Bridgewell said Keefe is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. Before joining the Lowell clinic as director, she served as director of a Central Massachusetts-based behavioral health center for more than three years and worked as a mental health clinician for nearly two decades.

According to Bridgewell, Keefe demonstrated leadership, clinical and management experience in both of those roles. Her appointment places her in charge of clinic operations and service delivery at the Lowell counseling site as the nonprofit continues its work in Greater Lowell.

Keefe's academic background includes an associate’s degree in criminal justice from Johnson and Wales, a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, a master's degree in education from Cambridge College, and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in mental health from Rivier College in New Hampshire.
