Peabody Trash Facility Search Connected To Missing Cohasset Woman

Multiple reports said Monday night that the search of the JRM Hauling & Recycling was in connection to missing Cohasset mother Ana Walshe.

PEABODY, MA —The search of a Peabody trash and recycling center on Monday night was connected to the investigation into missing Cohasset mother Ana Walshe, according to multiple television reports.

CBS Boston reported that investigators wearing protective suits and police officers with dogs spent Monday night searching through piles of trash at JRM Hauling & Recycling on Newbury Street.

The husband of the Cohasset woman who was last seen New Year's Day was arrested after misleading police who were investigating her disappearance, authorities said.

Brian Walshe, 46, of Cohasset, is charged with misleading the police investigation into the disappearance of 39-year-old Ana Walshe, according to a news release from the Norfolk district attorney that was distributed Sunday.

Walshe, a mother of three who works in property management planned to take a rideshare service around 4 a.m. Jan. 1 to Logan Airport before traveling to her second home in Washington D.C., but she never boarded a plane, police said Friday. She was reported missing Wednesday, according to police.

Police said Friday that Brian Walshe was sleeping when Ana Walshe left the home the day she disappeared. She was last seen in the early morning hours of Jan. 1, police have said.

Brian Walshe was arraigned Monday morning in Quincy District Court.
