Peabody Yard Waste Curbside Pickup Begins In April

PEABODY, MA — Peabody residents looking to do some spring cleanup around their yards get a series of free pickups from the city when it comes to waste.

The city will have four weeks of free curbside yard waste collection this spring beginning the week of April 15.

Mayor Ted Bettencourt said he received several calls from residents asking about the pickup this week following a stretch of unseasonably warm weather.

Residents can leave their yard waste outdoors on the regularly scheduled trash pickup day in paper bags or barrels. No yard waste placed in plastic bags will be accepted.

Haulers may come around for trash first and then return for yard waste later in the day.

Additional hauling days are scheduled for the weeks of April 29, May 13 and May 27.
