Pencils, Teachers, Dirty Looks

Local writers will be telling tales out of school on Friday night at the Salem Athenaeum.

Summer’s over and we are headed back to school and work.

The Salem Athenaeum is inviting people to ease back into fall with tales told out of school with local writers, hosted by Joe McGurn.

The writers will be taking the stage with no notes and nothing but their truth and the challenge to tell their best school-related story.

The event takes place on Friday, Sept. 25 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Salem Athenaeum at 337 Essex Street.

These storytellers will be telling original stories that they crafted themselves. It might have happened to their cousin, but they were there and this was how they saw it.
