Please Don't Watch Porn in the Coffee Shop

No trespass order issued for man who took time out for donuts and a dirty movie.

Coffee shops are a popular place to bring a laptop and use a little free wifi for work or recreation.

On Monday evening, one man was allegedly guilty of abusing those free wifi privileges at a coffee shop on Bridge Street when he decided to watch a little porn.

A little after 8 p.m. on Monday, police were called to the coffee shop when an employee called to report that a man was watching a pornographic movie on his laptop in the dining area.

When police arrived, staff at the shop pointed out a man who was sitting at a table, looking at his laptop with headphones on.

As the police officer approached the man, he stated that he could see that the man was watching a pornographic movie.

The screen, with all its pornographic action, could also be seen by people in the coffee shop as well as people outside, since he was sitting near a window.

The officer spoke with the man and “advised him that a coffee shop wasn’t an appropriate place for his behavior. He was advised that the staff wished for him to leave.”

A no trespass order was signed and issued to the man, who left the business without further incident.
