Police: Attempted Theft of Hair Dryers From Walgreens; Dog Feces Left on the Steps to a Home; Wallet Found in Peabody and Turned in to Salem PD

Sunday, May 31
At 5:44 p.m., motor vehicle accident Veterans Memorial Bridge on Bridge Street. no injuries. Driver stated that he hit the brakes in an attempt to slow down, and slid into the cement barrier in the middle of the bridge. Heavy damage to the vehicle. Vehicle towed.
At 7:19 p.m., larceny on Bridge Street. yellow Cannondale bicycle stolen from the T station.

At 7:20 p.m., attempted shoplifting on Boston Street. Attempted theft of merchandise from Walgreens. Employee caught a man placing several items in a plastic bag he had in his pocket. The man fled when confronted. He got into a truck. The employee stated that the items the man attempted to steal ere hair dryers valued at $75. She also stated that the store has been missing several hundred dollars worth of hair dryers over the past three months.
At 11:03 p.m. found wallet on Howley Street in Peabody. Wallet turned into local police because the owner of the wallet is a Salem resident.

Monday, June 1
At 10:10 a.m., harassing phone calls on Station Road.
At 1:00 p.m., suspicious package left on Hancock Street. Dog feces left on the steps to the home.
At 2:00 p.m., larceny on Boston Street. Stolen purse.
At 2:27 p.m., fight on Palmer Street and Prince Street. Officer spoke to both parties who said they were fooling around, before it got serious. Both parties refused medical care.
At 4:01 p.m., larceny on Bridge Street. Daughter stole items.
