Police: Driver Got Confused With the Lights, Construction and Officers Directing, Wound Up on Traffic Island; Purple Wallet Found; IRS Scam

Sunday, April 26
At 4:41 p.m., purple wallet found in the area of Heritage Drive. New Hampshire drivers license, Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance, a birth certificate and $10 cash.
At 7:13 p.m., warrant arrest on Lafayette Street. Officers on patrol in the area of Harbor Street and Lafayette Street saw Marcial Larios walking in the area of the Lafayette Hotel. Larios was arrested on two active warrants.

At 7:16 p.m., suspicious activity in a motor vehicle on HIghland Avenue. Vehicle matched the description of a vehicle BOLO by Peabody Police. Rowie Sterling was the passenger in the vehicle, and Salem Police arrested him on multiple warrants.
At 8:07 p.m., suspicious activity on Summer Street. Possible underage drinking on the third-floor deck. About 10 people of all ages in the apartment. There was no signs of alcohol, or alcohol consumption.

At 9:35 p.m., motor vehicle egged on Palmer Street.
Monday, April 27
At 10:55 a.m., motor vehicle accident on Derby Street and Congress Street. Single car accidentally drove over the island on Derby Street. Driver told officer that he got confused with the lights, construction and officers directing the traffic. The two front airbags deployed. Vehicle towed. Driver and passenger refused medical treatment.
At 11:29 a.m., newspapers stolen on Congress Street.
At 11:51 a.m., fraud by phone on Nursery Street. Reporting party stated that someone purportedly from the IRS, said he owned $1,300 from 2008. The caller told him to mail a bank check to an address provided. The reporting party realized the call was a scam, and wanted the incident to be documented.
