Police: Head-On Collision, $1,300 Missing From Lost Debit Card, Shoplifting Arrest

Thursday, Feb. 19

At 4:12 p.m., head-on crash on Swampscott Road. A van on Swampscott Road was headed towards Highland Avenue when a car on Swampscott Road headed towards Swampscott, crossed the double yellow line and struck the van head-on. Airbags deployed. The van driver was issued a citation for marked lanes violation, and the van driver will be summoned for operating a motor vehicle after license revoked. Both vehicles towed.

At 4:28 p.m., hit and run accident with property damage in the parking lot at Run a Muck Child Care Center on Colby Street.

At 4:41 p.m., chimney fire on Raymond Road.

At 5:16 p.m., shoplifting at Red Lion Smoke Shop on Washington Street. Luis A. Vega, 48, of salem arrested for shoplifting,, third offense.

At 6:28 p.m., large pothole at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Laurent Road. DPW notified.

At 6:38 p.m., lost bank debit card reported at police station. Reporting party stated that $1,300 was missing from the bank account. .

Friday, Feb. 20

At 10:54 a.m., arrest on Canal Street. Charles J. Ouimet Jr., 31, of Haverhill, Arrested on three warrants and operating a motor vehicle on a revoked license.

At 11:13 a.m., interfering with snow removal. Two vehicles towed from Blaney Street lot.

At 1:09 p.m., malicious destruction of property over $250. Report of broken window on Boston Street.

At 4:27 p.m., road rage incident reported on Watson Street.Incident resolved.

At 5:16 p.m., larceny on Freedom Hollow Road, Stolen mail.
