Tuesday, May 26
At 4:18 p.m., motor vehicle stop on Clifton Avenue. Driver will be summonsed for operating a moped without a license and operating a moped on a restricted way.

At 4:59 p.m., motor vehicle accident involving a school bus on Highland Street and Traders Way.There were no injuries, no tows and no citations issued.
At 6:07 p.m., larceny from building on Abbott Street. Someone stole her GE 5,000 BTU air conditioner from the common basement. A tenant denied taking it. No forced entry.
At 7:23 p.m., scam on Saunders Street. Parties in the process of moving, hired a moving company named “Oscar Moving LLC.” The company out of Jersey City, N.J. The moving originally quoted was $1,240. Then the foreman told them that the price was going to be $2,139. The two parties said they would not hire the company at that price. The foreman started yelling at them, and told them they would be charged a cancellation fee. The parties described the moving truck as a red box truck with a white cab. There was cardboard taped to the door. The two parties did not get their $310 deposit back. They were advised to go to small claims court.
At 8:15 p.m., a large disturbance in the park on May Street turned out to be a group playing basketball.
At 8:23 p.m., malicious destruction of property on Klop Alley. Damage to a motor vehicle. Report of a female who may have damaged a motor vehicle. After an investigation, officers arrested Stephanie Candido, 24, address listed as homeless, for breaking and entering in the nighttime with the intent to commit a felony and larceny of property of $250 or less..
Wednesday, May 27
At 12:57 a.m., possible dog fight in the Lafayette Street area. Nothing found.
At 4:18 p.m. noise complaint on Essex Street.
At 7:32 a.m., theft of a motorcycle on West Avenue.
At 8:22 a.m., car ran over a family of ducklings on Highland Avenue in area of Traders Way. Dispatcher received a call from a woman who said a vehicle struck a family of ducklings. A line of cars had stopped so the mother duck and her ducklings could cross the road. a man in a red Explorer then passed several vehicles and struck the family, and left the scene. Officer arrived several minutes later, and spoke to a woman that happened to be walking by the duck family. She told the officer that the mother duck was still in the road and appeared to be injured. The duck flew to a treetop when the woman approached the duck. The officer, a DPW staff person and a representative from the New England Veterinary Clinic scooped up all the ducklings and brought them to the station. The ducklings were not injured.
