Route 128 Peabody/Danvers Lanes Closed Thorugh Saturday Morning
The lane closures will take place between Route 114 and the Endicott Street exit and last through late morning on Saturday.
DANVERS, MA — Route 128 will be down to one lane in both directions near the Peabody/Danvers line from Friday night into Saturday morning.
The state Department of Transportation said the work between the Route 114 and Endicott Street exits will begin about 7 p.m. and will continue until about 10 a.m. Saturday morning.
"These temporary impacts are necessary to allow the contractor to complete full-depth excavation, road box construction, paving and pavement marking operations," the state DOT said.

Signs, traffic control devices and police details will be at the construction site. Drivers should expect delays, reduce speed and use caution.
This is part of the $24.7 million Waters River Bridge replacement project.
