Cat of the week.

Rusty is searching for a home

His good friend Billy has been adopted, leaving 5 year old Rusty searching for a home and a friend. Rusty is a quiet boy that enjoys mostly lounging around and cuddling with a friend. He also likes to explore and at night he let's his energy out by running around and playing.

Rusty does have FIV. but there is no reason to worry about your family or other pets. FIV is not transferrable to people and can only be passed on to other cats by deep bites. As Rusty is a lover and not a fighter he will be okay with other cats in the home. He lived with his good friend Billy that did not have FIV. An FIV cat can live a long and healthy life. If you are interested in meeting to adopt Rusty, you can meet him at the Northeast Animal Shelter located in Salem, MA. Visiting hours are Monday through Friday 10-8 and weekends 10-6. You can also view information online on their website @www.neas.org or call 978-745-9888
