Salem Arts Festival Expected To Draw 10K+: Road Closures This Weekend
The three-day Salem Arts Festival begins Friday, with Essex and Front street closures set for Saturday and Sunday.

SALEM, MA — Salem's Arts Festival begins Friday and runs through Sunday, bringing a weekend of performances, visual art and street fair activity to downtown Salem.
The festival is organized by Salem Main Streets and Creative Collective and regularly draws more than 10,000 people.\
The family-friendly event will spread across several downtown locations. Festival activities include events in Old Town Hall, outdoor stage venues for performance and dance on Derby Square, Artists' Row and Armory Park, along with an artist and artisan street fair, a collaborative public arts project and the Mural Slam.

Drivers should plan for road closures during the busiest festival days.
Front Street and Essex Street, from New Liberty Street to Hawthorne Boulevard, will be closed to vehicular traffic from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
