Salem Award Winner to be Named Later This Month
This award is given each year to present-day champions of human rights and social justice.

SALEM, MA - On Sunday, January 24th at 4:00 p.m. at Opus Underground, the Salem Award Foundation for Human Rights and Social Justice will announce the 2016 winner of the Salem Award. This award is given each year to present-day champions of human rights and social justice who will not be silenced by fear. A ceremony to honor the awardee will be held in later in March.
This event will also be an opportunity to meet former Salem Award winners and Josh Zakim, son of former Salem Award winner Leonard Zakim. Music will be provided by Bob Kendall. This event is free and open to the public and a cash bar will be available. Opus Underground is located at87 Washington Street in Salem, Massachusetts.
Founded in 1992, it is the mission of the Salem Award Foundation, through education and awareness, to ensure that the lessons of the1692 Witch Trials are not forgotten and to demonstrate their relevance today. For more information, please go to: www.salemaward.org.
