Salem Back To School Fair Moves To Collins Middle School
Construction near the Sarah Parker Remond School prompted a site change for Salem's fair set for Wednesday.
SALEM, MA — Salem Public Schools has moved its 2026 Back to School Fair to Collins Middle School because of construction near the Sarah Parker Remond School building and playground.
The fair is still scheduled for Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. The rain date is Thursday.
Vendors and community organizations will set up at the rear of Collins Middle School. Parking will be available at Collins Middle School, Broad Street Playground and the Jackson Street lots.

Overflow parking will be available at the Salem Hospital satellite lot on the Powder House Lane entrance to the school.
The fair will also offer free transportation for families and neighbors in and around Salem.

Bus 1 will stop at 1000 Loring Ave, Loring Avenue and Pickman Road, Jefferson Avenue and Willson Street, Horace Mann Laboratory School, Pequot Highlands and Collins Middle School.
Bus 2 will stop at Loring Avenue and Rainbow Terrace, Lafayette Street and Ocean Avenue, Lafayette Street and Leach Street, Congress Street and Palmer Street, Congress Street and Harbor Street, and Lafayette Street and Peabody Street.
Bus 3 will stop at Bates Elementary School, North Street and Garden Terrace, 146 Boston St, Salem Prep/New Liberty, formerly Carlton, Salem Commons at 35 N. Washington Square, and Collins Middle School.
Salem Public Schools said backpacks will be provided to each student attending the fair.
Students and families who cannot attend the event can pick up backpacks later at the Family Welcome Center on the first floor of Collins Middle School.
