SALEM, MA — The New Year's party at the Salem Council on Aging is one of many North Shore events that will have to wait until 2022 because of a spike in coronavirus cases in the area.

The Community Life Center staff said the Council on Aging is canceling its larger scheduled events this week because of a rise in COVID numbers.

The New Year's Eve party scheduled for Wednesday, as well as the classes scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, were canceled.
