Salem Education Fund Seeks Applications For Local Programs

The fund is available to programs for local educational needs and to fund existing adult literacy programs in the city.

SALEM, MA — Salem educators and those involved with adult literacy programs are invited to apply for funding through the city's Scholarship and Education Fund.

The fund grants are being made available through the Scholarship and Education Committee. The small grants are intended to provide supplemental funding for local educational needs and existing adult programs.

Funds cannot be used for salaries or stipends.

Applications are due here by 5 p.m. on Oct. 14.

"The members of the Scholarship and Education Committee are pleased to make this grant funding available to local educators, programs, and organizations," Tyler Carlton, chair of the committee, said. "We hope that all who are interested in supporting the educational needs of our community will apply for consideration to receive a grant from the Education Fund."

The Education Fund is able to award these grants based on donations from residents and businesses in the city.
