Salem Farmers' Market To Open For Season On Thursday

The market returns to Derby Square from 3 to 7 p.m.

SALEM, MA — The Salem Farmers' Market will open for the 2023 season on Thursday at Derby Square.

The market will run from 3 to 7 p.m. off Front Street each Thursday through Oct. 12.

Each week, the market will include local farm items, as well as artisan vendors, live music and cooking demonstrations.

The Salem Farmers' Market dates back to 1634. With its peak around 1930, an estimated 10,000 people visited the market on a single Saturday.

SNAP/EBT are accepted for certain items. Visit the Farmers' Market information table located in the back corner — it looks like a small house. Two of the vendors accept HIP.
