Salem Fire Aims Houses To Help Kids Beat The Heat This Week
Five spray-down events were scheduled across Salem parks and fields Tuesday through Thursday.
SALEM, MA — Salem families looking for a way to cool off this week will have five chances to do it as the Salem Fire Department planned a series of "soak the kids" events across the city.
The department was to hold the events Tuesday through Thursday at parks and fields in several Salem neighborhoods.
The schedule began Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Palmer Cove Field.

Two events were scheduled for Wednesday. The first is set for 11 a.m. at Forest River Park, followed by a 1 p.m. event at Salem Common.
The department also plans two more stops on Thursday with an 11 a.m. event at Forest River Park and a 1 p.m. event at Collins Cove.
