Salem Flooding Closes Parts Of Bridge Street on Monday
For the second time in four days, heavy rains forced Salem police to close a portion of Bridge Street Monday morning.

SALEM, MA — For the second time in four days, heavy rain forced the closure of Bridge Street in Salem on Monday.
The road was closed for a portion of Friday because of rain associated with Tropical Storm Elsa, then again Monday morning as downpours once again overtook the North Shore.

The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Watch for all of Massachusetts on Monday with 1 to 2 inches of additional rain expected. That rain will likely put a strain on poor drainage areas, rivers and basins already at or near capacity following last week's heavy rain.

There is a chance of rain each day throughout the week — although they will be more scattered in nature.
