Salem Forming School Superintendent Search Committee

The school system is accepting application from interested participants through Sept. 30.

Salem Schools: The Salem School Committee invites interested persons to submit their names for consideration as members of the Superintendent Search Committee.

The Search Committee will consist of:
3 Members of the School Committee
1 Salem Public Schools Administrator
2 Salem Public Schools Faculty Members (one of whom shall be selected by STU)
2 Salem Public Schools Parents
1 Special Education Representative (teacher, student, parent or community member)
1 English Language Learner Representative (teacher, student, parent or community member)
1 Salem Public School Student Representative
1 Community Member at Large
1 Representative from Salem State University
1 Representative involved in working with school-based youth programs.

The Search Committee will hold an initial orientation meeting on September 30, 2019 at 6pm. If you are selected, you must be available to meet on this date, as well as several other meetings throughout the next few months (to be determined by the Committee). Search Committee members will participate in the following: confidential screening of initial candidate applications, development of interview questions, actual interviews of candidates, and making recommendations to the School Committee.
Search committee meeting dates will be determined at the initial meeting.
