Salem Free Trolley Ride Program Extended For 11th Year
Salem Mayor Dominick Pangallo announced the agreement on his first business day in office following Saturday's inauguration.

SALEM, MA — Salem Mayor Dominick Pangallo marked his first business day in office with a deal that will allow city residents to ride the Salem Trolley for free once again this year from June 1 through Sept. 30.
Pangallo, who was inaugurated as the city's 52nd mayor on Saturday after winning the May 16 special election, that there have been nearly 12,500 free rides for Salem residents as part of the program since 2013.
Residents can receive a Resident Ticket by providing proof of residency at the Salem Trolley office at 8 Central Street.

"I want to thank the Salem Trolley for their generosity in once again working with us to subsidize this terrific program to make it possible for Salem residents to take advantage of a free trolley
ride," said Pangallo. "They are a true asset to Salem and our business community."
The Trolley runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m with a route that includes downtown Salem and Salem Willows and regular stops at the Salem Visitors Center, Witch History Museum, Trolley Depot, Old Burial Point/Witch Trial Memorial, Pickering Wharf, the House of the Seven Gables, Salem Witch Museum, Peabody Essex Museum, Witch Dungeon Museum, and Salem Witch House/Salem Inn location.

Passengers can also request stops at the Salem Maritime Site, Salem Ferry, Winter Island, Salem Willows and the Hamilton Hall/Phillips House, Chestnut Street location. A full map is available here.
Free travel is based on the seating available.
