Salem Halloween Pet Parade Is Back At Derby Wharf For 2022

The Salem Howl-o-ween pet parade returns in full in person this year after two years of COVID-19 interruptions.

SALEM, MA — Another sure sign that a more traditional Salem Halloween season is in store this year is the return of the Howl-o-ween Pet Parade marching through Derby Wharf.

The parade, which was canceled two years ago and was partially virtual last because of the COVID-19 health crisis, will be on Oct. 8 at 1 p.m. at the Salem Maritime National Historic Site.

Pets of all species are welcomed as long as they are well-behaved and comfortable around many other people and lots of dogs. The parade is rain or shine.
