Salem Home Improvement Contractor Held Without Bail, Called 'Danger' to Children: Report
A Salem home improvement contractor is facing multiple counts of child rape and indecent assault and battery.

SALEM, MA—A Salem man was ordered held without bail in Salem District Court Monday on multiple counts of child rape as well as indecent assault and battery, reports the Salem News.
Daniel D. Beauvais, 48, of 24 Eden St., Salem, was reported called a danger to the child he is charged with raping as well as other children by a Salem District Court Monday. He was arrested in June after the mother of a 12-year-old girl reported her daughter had reported multiple instances of abuse by Beauvais at his home.

The Salem News reports that Beauvais has been investigated by the Department of Children and Families for allegation of inappropriate behavior between Beauvais and other children in 2008, 2011, 2012 and 2015.
Prosecutor Melissa Woodard indicated in court Monday she is presenting the case to a grand jury for indictment.
