Salem To Host Family-Friendly New Year's Eve Party At Artists' Row

The Sunday celebration will begin at 4:30 p.m. with a New Year's countdown at 6 p.m.

SALEM, MA — Salem's family-friendly New Year's Eve celebration is moving to Artists' Row on Derby Street.

This year's event called "LAUNCH!" will begin at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday with a NYE countdown at 6 p.m.

Salem Main Streets and the city will host the event, which is also set to include art-making activities, face painting, temporary tattoos, and a silent disco. Partnering tenants The Lobster Shanty, Robber's Daughter, Melon Rose Flower Co., ChagallPAC and Shindig Studios will also have attractions, and there will be a family-friendly magic show from Evan Northrup.

There will also be hot cocoa courtesy of Wolf Next Door Coffee.

There is a $5 suggested donation to benefit Salem Main Streets' "Holiday Happenings" events such as Santa's Arrival at the Hawthorne Hotel and the tree lighting.
