Salem July 4 Fireworks Road Closures, Parking Restrictions

Parking restrictions will begin at 8 a.m. on Tuesday with road closures starting at 4:30 p.m.

SALEM, MA — Salem police will put in place a series of road closures and institute parking restrictions on Tuesday ahead of the July 4 fireworks party and celebration at Derby Wharf.

Starting at 4:30 p.m., Derby Street will be closed from Congress to Daniels, and Essex Street around Orange and Curtis. Those closures will remain in effect until 11 p.m.

Parking restrictions will begin at 8 a.m. on Derby Street from Union to Daniels, and on Orange Street from Essex to Derby. A portion of Herbert Street near Derby Street will also be closed.

The Salem party begins with a Kids Space, live music and food trucks at the Salem Maritime National Historic Site at 5 p.m. with the Hillyer Festival Orchestra show beginning at 7:15 p.m.

Fireworks are set to hit the sky starting at 9:15 p.m.
