Salem Lab Gets Green Light To Test Recreational Marijuana

CDX Analytics in Salem and MCR Labs in Framingham got approval from the state's Cannabis Control Commission Wednesday.

SALEM, MA -- The Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission approved license for CDX Analytics in Salem and MCR Labs in Framingham to begin testing marijuana for recreational sales Wednesday. Both labs were already testing marijuana for medical use under licenses previously granted by the commission.

“When Massachusetts voters legalized adult-use cannabis, they communicated a desire to purchase products that are safely regulated and properly tested,” commission Executive Director Shawn Collins said in a statement. “The commission has done scrupulous due diligence to make that vision a reality and ensure licensed independent testing labs maximize public health and public safety.”
