Salem Man Charged In Pair Of Convenience Store Smash-And-Grabs
Salem police said in both cases the front glass of the business was shattered and the suspect left behind evidence.

SALEM, MA — A Salem man was charged with two counts of breaking and entering and theft after police said stolen merchandise from a pair of smash-and-grabs were found during a warrant search of his home.
Police said two similar crimes were reported blocks apart on Aug. 30 and Sept. 11 involving a convenience store front glass shattered and evidence left behind. The first was reported at the Mobil Gas Station on Bridge Street at 1:19 a.m. on Aug. 30, and the second was at the New Market on Bridge Street at 5:15 a.m. on Sept. 11.
Police said an investigation led them to obtain a search warrant for an Arbella Street residence where they found the stolen merchandise and clothes believed used by the suspect in both crimes.

Police said Sampson Mclean, 19, of Salem was charged with two counts of breaking and entering in the nighttime, destruction of property over $1,200 and larceny from a building.
