Salem Man Sentenced To 6 Years In Prison After Child Pornography Guilty Plea
The U.S. Attorney's Office said Andrew Sorrento, 35, had pictures and videos depicting child sexual abuse on his cell phone.
SALEM, MA — A Salem man was sentenced to six years in prison in federal court in Boston on Wednesday after pleading guilty to child pornography possession and distribution charges.
The U.S. Attorney's Office said Andrew Sorrentino, 35, was found to have nearly two dozen photos and seven videos on his cell phone depicting child sexual abuse — including images of a child under 12 years old. He was charged with possessing and distributing those images via text messages and social media.
The U.S. Attorney's Office said once Sorrentino was identified as the person distributing those images a search warrant search of his Salem residence in December 2022 discovered 23 images and the seven videos on a cell phone that was seized.
