Salem Man Still At Large Following Massive NH Drug Bust

CONCORD, NH — A Salem man who was indicted on Oct. 5 for his alleged participation in a heroin ring in New Hampshire remains at large, according to the U.S. Attorney's office.

Heibrahim DelValle Baez, 32, of Salem was one of 16 individuals from charged by indictment in federal court in Concord, NH, with participating in a conspiracy that distributed over one kilogram of heroin. DelValle Baez is one of two remaining fugitives who were indicted.

U.S. Attorney Emily Rice vowed to "prosecute individuals who are responsible for distributing heroin and who profit on the addiction of others."

"The U.S. Attorney’s Office will continue to work with our law enforcement partners to identify and prosecute individuals who are responsible for the distribution of heroin, fentanyl, and other opiates," Rice said in a statement.

Authorities say that all but the two individuals still at large were arrested between Oct. 12 and Oct. 25.

Seven other individuals were indicted and charged with conspiracy to distribute heroin. Of those indicted, 20 are from Massachusetts — mostly the Lawrence/Haverhill area — four are from New Hampshire and one is from the Dominican Republic.
