Salem Municipal Phone Service Down Monday Morning

Several city departments have alternative numbers to reach them while service is being restored.

SALEM, MA — A phone service interruption affected several Salem municipal departments — including police and City Hall — Monday morning.

The police business line was out. Residents were advised to call 978-744-1212 with any non-emergency needs until the lines were restored.

City Hall phone lines were down as well with residents asked to use email to contact anyone they were trying to reach.
