Temporary tow zones will be implemented from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the days sweeping is set to occur.

SALEM, MA — Residential street sweeping begins in Salem this week and runs through early December with temporary no-parking restrictions and tow zones in effect.

Sweeping will take place from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day with neighborhoods broken down into four zones. Sweep days are usually the next day after the regularly scheduled trash day with Monday sweeping scheduled for streets with a Friday trash day.

Sweeping is set to conclude on Dec. 6 with delays possible because of rain or extreme cold.
