Salem Offers $25 To Students Who Get A COVID-19 Shot

Those 12 years old and older will receive the $25 gift card if they get a shot at Saturday's vaccine clinic.

SALEM, MA — Salem residents can get paid to get a COVID-19 vaccination shot this weekend.

A $25 gift card is being offered to anyone 12 years old or older who gets a dose of the vaccine at clinic scheduled for Saturday at Saltonstall School.

The clinic at 211 Lafayette Street will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Pfizer, Moderna and J&J doses are available in first doses, second doses and boosters. The vaccine is free with no identification or insurance required.

The incentive comes as wastewater samples show rising levels of the virus in the community.

The latest 7-day average of local wastewater surveillance identified 17 percent increase in wastewater COVID particals over the previous week.
