Salem Offers More Free COVID-19 Rapid Tests
Residents can receive up to three boxes of the at-home rapid antigen tests at the Salem Health Department during business hours.

SALEM, MA — Salem residents and those who work in the city are eligible for up to three more boxes of free rapid COVID-19 tests through the health department.
Those looking for the free tests can go to the Salem Health Department at 98 Washington Street and receive up to six tests — two tests per box —during business hours Mondays through Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. while supplies last.
All residents can also request free rapid tests through the federal government here and those with insurance are able to get reimbursed for purchased tests through their local pharmacy.

Curative and the city continue to run the free PCR testing site at Riley Plaza through at least the end of 2022. That is a self-administered nasal swab test with results emailed in 24 to 48 hours.
The Curative trailer is open Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. No appointment is necessary.

Those with insurance should bring their insurance card to the Riley Plaza site.
