Learn More About The Offshore Wind Terminal Planned For Salem
A public meeting will be held to discuss job opportunities, city investments and potential partnerships associated with the Crowley project.

SALEM, MA — Salem residents are invited to a public meeting to learn more about the offshore wind terminal planned for 42 acres along Derby Street and Fort Avenue.
Crowley, the company behind the terminal that will be used for staging and marshaling offshore wind turbine components, is hosting the meeting on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Salem Academy Charter School on Lynch Street.

The topics of discussion include employment and career opportunities, the investment being made into the former coal plant site, the improvements planned for port infrastructure and what that could mean for attracting cruise ships and commercial marine business, local partnership opportunities in education and workforce training, and how the project will reduce the region's carbon footprint.
Childcare for parents looking to attend the meeting will be provided by Angela's Preschool Daycare.
