Salem Opens $9K Scholarship Program With Sustainability Focus

SALEM, MA — Salem students pursuing college or graduate school studies can now apply for a new round of scholarships through a city partnership with Waste Management.

The scholarships are for students pursuing undergraduate or graduate level studies, with preference given to fields that promote environmental sustainability.

The stated theme for this year's program is “For a More Sustainable Tomorrow.”

Applications are due by June 1, 2026. Applications should be sent by email to Alisa Cherkasova at acherkasova@salem.com.
