Salem Parking Ban Lifted As Cleanup Efforts Ongoing Following Massive Winter Storm

Residents parked in school lots should remove vehicles so they can be prepared for classes to resume on Wednesday.

SALEM, MA — Salem's snow emergency parking ban was lifted as of mid-morning on Tuesday as cleanup efforts continue across the city with nearly two feet of fresh snow still clogging streets and parking lots.

The parking ban was lifted at 9 a.m. Those who parked their cars in school lots during the ban are asked to remove them so they can be cleared for the hopeful resumption of classes on Wednesday, following two days off.

This is especially time-sensitive for those in lots adjacent to Collins Middle School on Jackson Street,
and at Saltonstall School.
