Salem Pedestrian Struck, Killed On Highland Avenue
Salem police said Friday morning that the 41-year-old woman struck near Walmart Thursday night did not survive.
SALEM, MA —A 41-year-old woman struck on Highland Avenue in Salem Thursday night did not survive her injuries.
Salem police said a 2021 Honda Accord driving southbound in the left lane struck the woman shortly after 7 p.m. while she was crossing the road near Walmart. Salem police, fire and Atlantic Ambulance responded and found her unresponsive.
She was taken to North Shore Medical Center where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

"The motorist remained on the scene and called 911," Salem police said. "Our partners in the Massachusetts State Police will continue the accident reconstruction and investigation."
