Suspected Drunk Driver Charged With Hit-and-Run Accident

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police Department's log:
Monday, Sept. 2:
- At 4:55 p.m., a man known to have an outstanding warrant was located on Lafayette Street. Doug M. Bozek, 42, of 5A Orchard Circle, Middleton, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
- At 6:20 p.m., police responded to a possible water main break on Woodbury Court.
- At 6:43 p.m., police responded to a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident near the intersection of New Derby and Lafayette streets. Rick C. Mignault, 56, of 11 Pond St., Waltham, was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, second offense and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.
- At 8:15 p.m., police responded to a fight on Harbor Street.
- At 8:43 p.m., police responded to a fireworks complaint near Barcelona Avenue.
- At 9:11 p.m., a bullet discovered on Garden Terrace was turned over to police for destruction.
- At 10:35 p.m., police responded to a report of kids knocking over flower pots on Summit Street.
Tuesday, Sept. 3:
- At 1:08 a.m., police responded to a loud house party on Hazel Street.
- At 7:11 a.m., a Logan Street woman called police to report that someone keyed her car overnight.
- At 9:47 a.m., police responded to a report of a seagull with wire on its legs and head. The seagull reportedly flew away.
- At 10:21 a.m., police responded to a report of illegal dumping on Canal Street.
- At 11:35 a.m., a woman entered the police station to report that a dog knocked her down on Hanson Street and broke her right forearm.
- At 12:23 p.m., police responded to a report of kids shooting BB guns on Highland Avenue.
- At 1:02 p.m., police responded to a report of illegal dumping on Essex Street.
- At 2:07 p.m., police responded to a road rage incident on Highland Avenue.
- At 3:17 p.m., police responded to a report of a man threatening to drink antifreeze on Fillmore Road.
