Salem Police Make 14 Weekend Arrests

The Salem Police Department's arrest log from Friday to Sunday.

The made the following arrests on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Friday

  • Brian Belew, 26, who is listed as homeless, was arrested on two shoplifting charges.
  • Saul Anibal Chaves-Lopez, 19, of 761 Summer St. in Lynn was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle without being licensed and two charges of operating an unregistered vehicle.
  • Nicholas Chiormitaro, 67, of 51 Adams St. in Saugus was arrested on a domestic assault and battery charge.
  • Brian French, 26, of 1A Sutton St. in Peabody was arrested on a charge of illegal possession of a Class A substance.
  • John J. Lapointe, 53, of 56 Margin St. was arrested for violating the City's drinking in public ordinance.
  • Gerald Thomas Libby, 55, who is listed as homeless in Salem was arrested on two shoplifting charges.
  • Susan Kathleen Tracey, 47, of 56 Margin St. was arrested for violating the City ordinance for drinking in pubic.
  • Anthony Vicente, 31, of 65 Allen Ave. in Lynn was arrested on charges of manufacturing/distributing/displaying a Class A drug and distributing in a school zone.
  • Joseph Anthony Visocchi, 29, of 88 Norfolk Ave. in Swampscott was arrested on  charges of illegal possession of a Class A substance and illegal possession of a Class B substance.
  • Laura Wogan, 48, of 9 Leach St. was arrested for violating the City's public drinking ordinance.

Saturday

  • Marcelo DeSousa, 31, of 41 Elliott St. in Beverly was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, operating a vehicle without being licensed, leaving the scene after property damage, negligent operation and a marked lanes violation.
  • Rafael Falcao Rodriguez, 26, of 295 Rantoul St. in Beverly was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor (second offense), leaving the scene after property damage, negligent operation, a marked lanes violation, falsifying or stealing a motor vehicle document and operating a motor vehicle after a license suspension.

Sunday

  • Timothy McDonough, 50, of 39 Station Rd. was arrested on an assault and battery charge.
  • Todd Vigeant, 36, who is listed as homeless in Salem was arrested on a domestic assault charge.
