Salem Police Officer Facing Bank Fraud Charges
Salem police on Friday said Officer Iancy Gonzalez was charged with larceny over $1,200, forgery and uttering.

SALEM, MA — A Salem police officer is facing larceny and forgery charges and was placed on administrative leave following an investigation into accusations of bank fraud.
Police said Iancy Gonzalez will be arraigned in Salem District Court on Feb. 25 on charges of forgery, larceny of more than $1,200 and uttering. An administrative hearing will also be held to determine department sanctions.
Police said on Jan. 20 Gonzalez was placed on leave pending the outcome of an investigation into the bank fraud accusations. Gonzalez was charged at the conclusion of the investigation.

Police said the administrative hearing will be scheduled in "accordance with Salem Police procedure and contractual agreements."
