Salem Police Seek Input On Department's Performance, Crime Issues
Feedback is being sought on residents' opinions and priorities fo the Salem Police Department.
SALEM, MA — Salem police are asking residents for their opinions about their interaction with the city's officers and what the priorities should be for the department.
The survey, which can be found here, is anonymous.
Questions in the survey include questions about how safe residents feel in the city, their interaction with police, which crimes or nuisances should be a priority for the department and which news sources — including Patch — do they use to get their information on police-related activity.

"This is your chance to help us learn more about how you view your neighborhood," Salem police said. "We will use your answers to improve the department. Your responses are strictly anonymous."
The survey is part of an outreach program under Acting Police Chief Dennis King that included a recent virtual town meeting on the department's use-of-force protocols.
