Salem Poll Workers Needed For May 16 Special Election
Workers can earn up to $210 for a day at the polls as Salem elects its next mayor.

SALEM, MA — The Salem City Clerk's Office is looking for a little bit of help on the day the city elects its next mayor.
Poll workers are still needed for the May 16 special election. Workers will earn $210 for a full day and $105 for a half day.
Inspector duties include assisting in getting the polls ready to open for voters by hanging up notices, checking in voters, attending the ballot boxes and helping to close the polls.

There is a morning shift from 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., an afternoon/evening shift from 1:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and an all-day shift that begins at 6:30 and lasts until polls close. Those working later the later shift must stay until all activities to close the polls are completed.
Those interested in working should complete the Interested Poll Worker Form and email it to isimons@salem.com. Once hired, workers will be sent a training presentation and human resources will assist in filling out the paperwork to get paid.
